How do I register an inquiry?
To register your inquiry/proposal you just have to click on "Register". The registration procedure is divided into four sections: Inquiry, Address, Company info and Reference. You must fill in all fields that are marked with an asterix (*) before submitting. Should you have any problems during the registration you can always go to "Help" for further specification of what information should be included in the different fields. Please note that the system will automatically reject your registration if you have not filled in all obligatory fields. How many inquiries can I register?
You can register as many inquiries as you want. If you use Netscape you can use the Back button after having submitted the first inquiry. Then you will not have to fill in all the company related information again, but just change the fields in the "inquiry section".How much does it cost?
To register your business inquiry is free of charge. However, you can at the cost of 50 Euro improve your status in the database by having your company information verified against other sources, which gives your company a "quality stamp". You can also buy a top ranking position (200 Euro) so that your inquiry will be placed among the first inquiries that are shown in the list of matches. When will my inquiry be published on the Internet?
All inquiries are checked by Chamber Trade and normally, your business inquiry will be published within 24 hours provided that no week-ends or public holidays interfere. For how long time will the inquiry be saved?
The inquiry will be available in the database for the time period that you have chosen, i.e. 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. Approximately two weeks before the inquiry will be removed from the database you will get an e-mail message. You will then have the possibility to postpone the expiry date for your inquriy.
Searching the database
I do not get any matches - what is wrong?
Your search is probably too detailed - are all your criteria necessary? Check your spelling in the free text search field. Then you are most welcome to register your own inquiry - remember, it is free of charge!
I get too many matches - how can I limit my search?

There are about 10,000 chambers of commerce around the world but the chambers are not homogenous. There are public chambers and private chambers. The chambers in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Austria for example are public chambers whereby all enterprises are mandated to become a member. The chambers in Sweden, Great Britain, Belgium, USA, the Baltic States, Tanzania, Botswana and Namibia for example are private chambers which means that membership is voluntary. Most chambers' core business is to help companies in foreign trade issues. They offer a wide range of services in matters of international trade, such as helping companies to new business contacts, arranging of trade seminars, issuing of trade documents etc. An important aspect for the private regional chambers is to influence decision makers and authorities with the purpose to create favourable conditions for industry and commerce. The public chambers usually provide a wide range of occupational training.
There are also plenty of bi-lateral - private - chambers, for example the British-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the German-American Chamber of Commerce.
